This is a CT scan of a classic microphone. Surprisingly, it is almost entirely air inside. If there is anyone who is familiar with the construction of this older technology, please do email the details for inclusion here. There appears to be two diaphragms closer to the cephalad end of the capsule, with some electronics seen in red/purple behind the oval-shaped logo of the manufacturer.
